Watford AI Concept to Reality: 1,100-Mile Long Distance Resin Transformation
Project Overview
3 round trips totaling 1,100 miles, 25 hours driving due to M6 motorway closures, and a massive team effort brought this project to life in Watford. Carried out for a family member while they were away on holiday in Spain, the client picked out their preferred colour palette and left the SP Design & Pave team with an AI-generated architectural concept image as inspiration. In Phase 1, the team excavated the ground, installed precision perimeter kerb edging, and laid a high-strength SuDS-compliant permeable concrete sub-base. In Phase 2, the team returned to lay the finished surface: a warm golden buff resin-bound gravel field accented by an exquisite dark charcoal inset geometric double border, achieving a near-identical physical match to the AI concept.
